Greenville SC August 09 Updates
August 21, 2009:

Good morning!  Hey, are you ready for the weekend!  Pretty excited about today, got a closing with a very nice first time home buyer and I have another couple I referred to an associate closing today too.  Both should be very happy in beautiful Greenville SC!  You know on Friday, I always like to check and let you know what's going on this weekend so.....

Chicago is playing at the Peace Center.  Main St. Jazz will be going on right outside The Downtown Greenville Remax Foothills Office!  Greenville Drive will be home against The Kannapolis Intimidators.  Hey, if you are interested in some good soccer, USC will be playing the Mexican Women's National Team at MESA.  I'll be photographing the game and will put up some shots here!  Should  be exciting!!  Hope you have a great weekend and maybe I'll see you at the game!

August 20, 2009:

I hear that homes sales in Greenville SC had risen for the 5th consecutive month.  Don't know for a fact but from the amount of calls and buyers that are contacting me, I'd say it's true.  I'm just covered up.  First time home buyers, out of state buyers, investors, all looking to enjoy that nice Greenville South Carolina lifestyle.

My folks in from MA, you know they caught Chicago at The Peace Center for the performing arts the other night, and guess what, LOVED IT!  Nothing but nice things to say about the Peace Center and impressed with the venue and the variety of entertainment there.  I really appreciate that but folks, I've been telling you that for years!  Greenville's Great, hey maybe that will be my new tag line, Greenville's Great.  I'm seeing mall construction start back up too and the new downtown Marriott is going strong, looks like it's may be about 6-8 months away from completion, sits right in front of Poinsett Corners, will have nice shopping, office space and I hear Larkins is opening a very nice restaurant in there!

Hey, just booked a nice Labor Day Weekend getaway to The Grove Park Inn in Asheville.  Lovie (my wife) and I are heading up to hear some good old Carolina Beach Music, that's right, it's the Labor Day Beach weekend package in the mountains!  We got tickets to see The Chairman of The Board on Saturday night and The Fabulous Kays on Sunday, night.  Wow, I'm excited, my wife is getting a facial and I'm getting the Gentleman's Mountain Stream Foot Treatment in the Grove Park's wonderful spa.  My feet do hurt from all the showings I've been doing lately.  I tell you Asheville is a nice place to visit but I'd rather live in Greenville and visit there.  Property is much more reasonable here and Asheville, although artsy, the downtown just can't hold a candle to Greenville.

Well it's about 3:30am so I guess I better get some sleep.  Ya'll have a wonderful day!!  And remember, always use and exclusive buyers agent for you next home purchase!  Get someone on your side!

August 17, 2009:

Good morning!  Hope you had a great weekend.  I had a busy one again....thanks goodness and today's going to be busy too.  Hey, I'm not complaining.  Anyway, let's take a look at the Greenville SC MLS and see what happened over the weekend since last Friday.

We had:

74 New Listings
73 Price Changes
37 Sold
61 Expired

I'm seeing a lot of price reductions in Blue Ridge Plantation.  New listing in Five Forks Plantation, just a note, most master bedrooms are on the second floor in this neighborhood.  Chet Smith has a new listing in Mahaffey Plantation, almost 3/4 of an acre is you like some room.  Mountain Creek Landing continues to reduce pricing there, may have something to do with the septic fee.  And a new listing in venerable Stonehaven a Simpsonville favorite.

So what's up today, got some nice folks in from MA then heading down to Greenwood to check out a few things.  Hey, there is a lot of Greenville SC Condo activity now, I've got two under contract and may be writing a contract on another.  Good time to buy folks, a lot of the initial buyers are getting out with the ecomomy pinch, don't worry most are still making money.

Gotta run, I hope you have a wonderful day and don't forget to use an exclusive buyers agent for Greenville SC Real Estate when you decide to buy!  Contact Me or call me at 864-335-8490!

August 15, 2009:

Boy, it's been about 13 days since I've posted.  Sorry about that, summer just gets that way.  Anyway Greenville SC Real Estate is still chugging along.  Whew, I've been covered up.  First time home buyers, investors and of course many out of state buyers!

It's good to be busy though.  I think we are really starting to turn, of course my business is strong because I only work with buyers as a buyers agent.  There are always buyers in the market, it's just that their numbers may shrink.  Most smart buyers are working with a Greenville SC Buyers Agent!  But on the other side, the seller's numbers always stay about the same.  Folks it's a matter of supply and demand.  I reach a lot of buyers with my message.  Buyers from all over the country.  So my business has been especially strong since there is some real value in the market.

I do think it's picking up even on the listing side.  Got an email from Jim Fritzsche and he said one way he judges business is by escrow funds held.  Remax Foothills is holding about the same amount we were holding two to three years ago!

I think I'm going to starting posting different so I can be sure that I'm not missing any days, doing market analysis and sharing some more great and not so great stories :-)..... at the end of the day.  I'm already running just a little behind today so gotta run.  Got a couple of first time home buyers under contract and trying to negotiate a Greenville SC downtown condo for a really nice fellow.  Boy, hope that one works out.

Anywho, it's Friday, so let's see what's happening in downtown Greenville!  Check out a movie at West End Movies, they screen classic and independent movies down on the West End of Greenville.  Paris Mountain Music in the Woods is still running.  Country Queens: Nashville's Leading Ladies is playing at Centre Stage.  Hey, the Greenville Drive are in town vs the Greensboro Grasshoppers.   Of course Main St. Jazz will be going on right outside the Greenville SC Remax office.  If you want to check out a cool farmers market you can at the Carolina First Saturday Market right there on Main St.  Chicago, The Musical is coming to The Peace Center for The Performing Arts.  Hey, I've got to run, I hope you have a wonderful day, I'll start posting in the evenings when I've got some good tales to relate :-)!

You know, I like to close with a nice picture, so I was browsing and came across this.....Pretty funny, yep that's me in high school with my tough high school football look!  Good time to put this up though because I'm about to get real busy photographing some great high school sports action.  I'll keep you up to date on that too.

Yep, that's me!

Good morning!  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Been pretty busy for me.  Worked with two first time home buyers yesterday.  Looked at some good home and I think we may have found a great  place for one of them.  Well, we are into August.  August is the hottest month around here.  You will see a lot of 90's but then it starts cooling pretty quickly in September.

I may slip out of town for a few days of vacation, if I can find the time, (it's been busy, thank goodness!)  I'll start back with more in depth market analysis tomorrow, gotta run but if you want to catch July's updates then click here for some great dolphin shots from Savannah GA.  Have a good one, I'll see you tomorrow, God willing!
