You will find some of the most charming homes in Laurens located on historic Main St. 

Many homes were built in the 1800's and have been beautifully restored.  As you approach town square you will pass many of the downtown Laurens churches.  Please enjoy a few photographs of these wonderful homes and churches.  And let me know if you are interested in real estate in the Laurens area! 
 
       

          
       
                 

      


Homes such as the James Calvin Owins House which was built in 1896 and pictured above can be found on Main ST.  It is a wonderful example of Victorian Architecture.  Owins was a member of First Baptist Church of Laurens, and a trustee for the Laurens City School District. 

The First Presbyterian Church is also pictured above.  Built in 1895, it is a true landmark of Laurens.  It was organized in 1832 by Reverend Samuel Lewers. 

 
                             

Above are a couple of more downtown Laurens churches.  To the left is The First Baptist Church of Laurens and to the right is The Church of The Epiphany located on West Main St.  The original structure of First Baptist was built in 1850.  The Church of The Epiphany is the oldest church building standing in the city of Laurens.  Reportedly refugees from the Civil war came to Laurens to worship in this Episcopal church.


    

To the left above is The First United Methodist Church of Laurens SC.  Built in 1897 the first service was Christmas day 1898.  To the right is the new Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  This church burned a few years back and has been completely rebuilt.
