Good morning folks, been a while! Hey, looks like the snow is almost gone. Schools were out here for a whole week! Can you believe it! Anyway, time to get back to work.
Had a closing last Friday with a very nice couple, Frank and Maria, who are relocating to Greenville. They got a great home, lake front, full basement, just what they wanted.

Hey! Yep it's snowing! Looks like we've got 3 to 4 inches and still more to come. Hey folks, we've had an unusually cold winter and more snow than usual, so all you people who came here to get away from it, it's ok, enjoy it!

Hey good morning! Usually at this time I do a year in review but I'm waiting on some stats from
GGAR, Greater
Greenville Association of Realtors, so as soon as I have it, I'll do a year end analysis.
I can talk informally now on the market, I continue to see price pressures and prices moving downward although certainly not at the rate of other areas of the country. A lot more short sales and foreclosures are popping up which is expected with the economy.
Although Greenville's economy overall has fared pretty well. I believe BMW had it's best year ever, they did a quarter of billion dollar expansion and continue to hire. Many new company announcements to the Upstate and many new jobs.
Greenville is picked to turn faster than most other areas of the country when the overall economy does improve which is good. What that means though is you can expect prices to rise faster than other areas so what I'm saying is if you can buy now, you ought to buy now....
I mentioned short sales and don't get me started, becoming more of a problem here, getting them close and frankly some dishonesty from the banks. I'm not seeing that many great foreclosures out there. What do I mean? Well, they are either beat up or they are in areas you certainly wouldn't want to live in.
I think spring is going to be very strong, lot of activity. You will see more inventory coming back on the market in February and grow through summer.
Great time to buy now folks, don't let opportunity fly by ya.....
