Laurens South Carolina is a great place and sometimes over looked when buyers are searching the Upstate. Located just 35 miles from downtown Greenville SC it's easy to get there. Just hop on I385 going south from Greenville, drive until you get to the Gray Court, Owens exit otherwise hwy 14 and exit. Watch your speed as you drive down 14 towards Laurens! The first small town you come through will be Gray Court, little tid bit here. Very interesting and great place to eat if you turn left on Hwy. 101. When you turn, about a half a block on the left will be House of Pizza, it is about the most eclectic place I have been. Have a seat and try and take in all the stuff that is hung up and on the walls and just all around you! By the way don't forget to order their pizza, its wonderful! Go Laurens!
When you're done eating get back on 14 towards Laurens and the next little community you will come to is Barksdale. You might want to stop at Fill Ups and get some gas....usually they are as low as anyone around. Keep heading straight and you will pass a Burger King, some industry including a Milliken plant and a favorite of mine, The Hub......been in Laurens FOREVER! So what's the HUB? Just some great cheeseburgers and country food along with cold beverages. Once you're done continue down 14 and follow the signs to downtown Laurens SC.
Downtown Laurens South Carolina is a special place, the square is just beautiful and has been nicely redone with numerous restaurants and shops. Let's look at the square in Laurens.

Let's tour the square. You will find numerous shops including Thomason Jewelers and Th' Arbor Florist and Gift Shop.
If you like to get a bite to eat stop into Romas Italian Restaurant of Hummingbirds, I have eaten at both and really enjoyed them!
