I’ve met a lot of interesting people through the years but it’s not every day you get to meet a real life hero. Well, I did just the other day. My buyer and I were out looking at horse farms and the seller was there. He took us out to his woodworking shop and there was an old Life magazine on the table wrapped in protective plastic. Of course we asked about it and he opened it up to a section of Vietnam coverage and there laid out and bandaged was him (at front of truck). The Marines, the few, the proud. It was a little surreal. This 60ish fellow standing right in front of me, I mean the real deal. Quite the gentleman.
You know folks, that is exactly why I display the flags on this page for our fallen veterans. Without them, none of this would be possible.
